Our amazing adventure in Iceland! This is not just a wedding photography for a beautiful couple from Kiev in a distant and incredible corner of the Earth. This is an extraordinary journey, an acquaintance with the forces of nature and with landscapes we could imagine only in fairy tales or fantastic films. And when the bride and groom tell each other the most important words in the middle of a canyon in a huge and vast rock under the murmur of a waterfall - it's pounding to shivers! Will this be remembered for a lifetime? Yes! Do we want to go back there? Yes, of course! And there can be no other answer.
Here’s what Ira and Timur shared about their unique wedding in Iceland:
At first, we, of course, planned to have our ceremony and wedding somewhere in nature near Kyiv, surrounded by our family and friends, but we couldn’t find the perfect place. Soon after, we came across photos of Iceland online and immediately fell in love with its green hills, majestic volcanoes, and powerful waterfalls.
We instantly thought, why not spend this day together on an island thousands of kilometers from home, because this is our celebration. Looking at weddings held in Iceland, we felt a complete departure from the usual templates we see here in Ukraine. There’s simply no room for clichés in Iceland—it’s too small to contain them. But what it does hold is pure joy: the joy of being alive and walking on moss as soft as a pillow, getting soaked under massive waterfalls, bonding with a whole herd of friendly horses, climbing a volcano, and skipping stones into a lake that has taken the place of once-boiling lava, and so much more.
And when you share all this with your beloved on the day you vow to unite your souls, these little moments transform into the happiest and brightest memories of your life. Your heart will never truly leave this green, surprisingly warm island in the middle of the ocean.
